PARTNERS WITH FORD CANADA FOR COUNTRY MUSIC WEEK 2018
Ford Canada announced as the official automotive sponsor of
the 2018 CCMA Awards and title sponsor for Album of the Year Award
August 8, 2018 (Toronto, ON) - The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) has announced today that it is moving ahead full throttle, sharing details about its partnership with Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. Confirmed by the CCMA’s sponsorship team (Feldman Entertainment Partnerships) Ford has been named the official automotive sponsor of the 2018 CCMA Awards. New in 2018, the partnership is rooted in Ford’s commitment to supporting Canadian country music, using the CCMA, Country Music Week and the CCMA Awards as opportunities to reach fans and artists across Canada.
“The Ford brand has had a strong and credible connection to music for a very long time. Their pickup trucks have been the backbone to some of the best country songs ever written,” said Tracy Martin, President, CCMA. “We love that we are partnering with a brand that understands our format and its fans so well. We can’t wait to kick things off.”
During Country Music Week, Ford will provide courtesy shuttles with its renowned all-new, four-wheel drive Ford F150s. Members of the Canadian music industry and celebrated artists will have access to F150 shuttles from the host hotel, providing luxury transport to all CCMA events, including artist arrivals on the 2018 CCMA Red Carpet.
In addition to providing all transport throughout Country Music Week, Ford Canada has proudly become the title sponsor of the Album of the Year award. Celebrating the work of Meghan Patrick, Jess Moskaluke, Lindsay Ell, Brett Kissel and The Washboard Union, the Ford Album of the Year Award will be handed out live on 2018 CCMA Awards broadcast on September 9 from Hamilton, ON.
“We’re excited to be part of this event to celebrate the tremendous talent of Canadian country music artists,” said Jim Hartford, Vice President of Marketing, Ford of Canada.
