The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) is now accepting submissions for the Recording Package of the Year Award. The eligibility period for the 2017 Canadian Country Music Association Awards™ (CCMA Awards™) is from March 1, 2016 through to April 30, 2017 and only recording packages released within this period will be accepted.
A professional panel of industry jurors, whose members are approved by the CCMA, will judge the submissions to determine the final five (5) nominees based on all aspects including, but not limited to the strength and cohesiveness of the design concept of the whole package (including the disc), typography, materials used, marketing potential and connectedness to the music and/or recording artist.
Submissions must be received by the CCMA no later than Friday June 16, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
Submissions received after this date will NOT be accepted. Incomplete submissions will NOT be accepted.
The final five (5) nominees, determined by the jury, will appear on the Third (and final) Ballot, providing they meet the eligibility requirements as determined by the CCMA Awards Verification Committee. In the case of a tie, more than five (5) nominees will appear on the Third Ballot.
The nominee receiving the most votes will be announced as the winner during PotashCorp Country Music Week® which will be held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan from September 7-10, 2017.
