2017 RADIO STATION OF THE YEAR (LARGE MARKET) AND RADIO STATION OF THE YEAR (MEDIUM OR SMALL MARKET)
The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) is now accepting submissions for both Radio Station of the Year (Large Market) and Radio Station of the Year (Medium or Small Market). The eligibility period for the 2017 Canadian Country Music Association Awards™ (CCMA Awards) is from March 1, 2016 through to April 30, 2017 and only submission elements (listed below) from this period will be accepted.
A professional panel of industry jurors, whose members are approved by the CCMA, will judge the submissions through an online process to determine the winner, based on the strength of each submission.
Submissions must be received by the CCMA no later than Friday June 16, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
Submissions received after this date will not be accepted. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
The winner in each category will be announced during PotashCorp Country Music Week™ which will be held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan from September 7-10, 2017.

For CCMA Award purposes, a large market is defined as a city with a population over 150,000. According to Statistics Canada 2016 census figures, cities with a population over 150,000 (in order of population) are: Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton, Mississauga, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Brampton, Hamilton, Quebec City, Surrey, Laval, Halifax, London, Markham, Vaughan, Gatineau, Saskatoon, Longueuil, Kitchener, Burnaby, Windsor, Regina, Richmond, Richmond Hill , Oakville, Burlington, Greater Sudbury, Sherbrooke and Oshawa. A Medium or Small Market is defined as a city under the population of 150,000 and is not listed above. Eligible terrestrial country radio stations must be licensed by the CRTC.

In 150 words or less, clearly demonstrate your on-air personalities’ community involvement through specific examples considering fundraising, special events or local country music activities designed to benefit the community.
In 150 words or less, identify your station’s impact on Canadian country music within the eligibility period.
In 150 words or less, tell us about a social media campaign executed within the eligibility period. What was the result?
Provide the names of any Canadian artists, never before played on your station, that were added to regular rotation within the eligibility period.
In 150 words or less, identify your station’s greatest achievement within the eligibility period (areas of consideration may include ratings, market position gains or unique awards and projects).
