The Abrams Brothers
The Abrams Brothers have been blowing away audiences with their virtuoso playing and effortless harmonies drawn on four generations of bluegrass and folk music. The release of their new album, "Northern Redemption," marks a transition to their own distinct sound combining these roots with contemporary elements of country and rock that has had Canadian media up in arms over their potential.
The Command Sisters
Singer/songwriter's and multi-instrumentalists, Charlotte and Sarah, sisters from Spruce Grove Alberta, have captivated audiences with exciting performances at well-known festivals and venues. With a bright future ahead of them, Charlotte and Sarah have already enjoyed quite a ride as they have performed alongside country superstars George Canyon, Johnny Reid, and Emerson Drive, and just recently launched their self-titled debut album The Command Sisters.
Known as the 'little singer girl' from Qualicum Beach, B.C., this young star got her first gig singing at dinner parties and belting it out at school assemblies, local hockey games and baseball tournaments. Today Kylee Epp is known for a sound of her own as she blends her hippie roots with sassy bubblegum pop and tops it off with a dash of cowboy.
With strong roots in the Aboriginal and Italian community, this young star always had a place for country music in her heart. Performing in singing competitions since the age of two, Fisher is also an accomplished piano and violin player. She has performed at multiple festivals in her local community of London, Ontario and has opened for country artists Crystal Shawanda, Dean Brody, Hunter Hayes, and David Nail.
Comprised of BrenleyMacEachern and Lisa MacIsaac, Madison Violet are a JUNO-nominated roots duo who released their latest studio album The Good in Goodbye earlier this year. They were the 2011 Winners of the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals: Galaxie Rising Star Award and the 2009 Maxell Song of the Year Winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Selling out shows across the world and touring with some of the biggest Canadian names, Madison Violet has proven that they are a country music duo to look out for.
Singer/songwriter/businessman this young artist is the reason for his own success. Creating a business plan that would soon become his reality Declan found success in his hometown of Winnipeg and launched his career with the help of Nick Pellegrino. Piecing together his album Declan used all of his musical influences and created his self-titled debut album full of music that he could never be more proud of.
Comprised of Kasha Anne and Mitch Smith this duo has been influenced by the likes of Miranda Lambert, Pearl Jam, Reba, and The Zac Brown Band, which has lead them to create an honest, diverse sound. Having already received accolades and nominations for their talents, Kasha for her voice and melodies, and Mitch for his guitar talents and writing, The Orchard is looking forward to a busy 2012 and the release of their debut album, Southern Ground.
