The CCMA Introduces, “Building the Brandt: A Conversation with Paul Brandt” as the 2012 Keynote Address for PotashCorp Country Music Week
July 30, 2012
July 27, 2012 (Toronto, ON) - The Canadian Country Music Association® is proud to announce an exciting and exclusive opportunity for industry and a few contest winning fans to witness the wisdom and musical intellect of artist, songwriter, producer and philanthropist, Paul Brandt during the 2012 CCMA Keynote Address at PotashCorp Country Music Week in Saskatoon.
"Paul Brandt is truly someone who has done things differently." said Don Green, Executive Director, CCMA. "Paul's approach to maintaining a 'brand' as an artist through his music and charitable ventures is something that we feel the entire industry could learn from, which is why we've chosen him as the 2012 CCMA Keynote Speaker for PotashCorp Country Music Week."
With a limited number of tickets being made available to both industry and fans alike, this year's Keynote Address, moderated by CMT's Joel Stewart, will take audience members on a journey filled with valuable industry insight, sensational storytelling and a few musical performances as we discuss and explore the construction of a Canadian country music enterprise, from his successful sponsorships to his prosperous partnerships, with none other than the most awarded male Canadian country artist in history.
"I'm honoured that the CCMA would ask me to do this," says Paul Brandt. "I'll be sharing some of my own stories and music, and we will all undoubtedly be entertained by the wit and humour of Joel Stewart as we banter back and forth. This is a different type of stage for me, but I'm looking forward to the experience."
From the inception of his 1996 debut RIAA certified Gold album "Calm Before the Storm", which went on to sell one million albums internationally, to his recent "NOW" tour, generating 5.2 million impressions via his @paulbrandt Twitter handle, to raising millions of dollars for Samaritan's Purse, The Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation, his CMT Television series "Build It Forward" and through his new foundation, this up close and personal session with one of Canada's biggest country icons will take place during PotashCorp Country Music Week at 11:00 AM on September 9 at TCU Place and will also feature a special performance.
Tickets for the 2012 CCMA Keynote address will be available in limited quantities to Industry and through social media contesting to fans. Registered delegates will have access to this event through the use of their delegate badge.
