Welcome!

For almost three decades, Canada's country music industry has honoured artists, songwriters, broadcasters and "industry builders" by inducting them into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. Originally established in 1984 as the Hall of Honour, the CCMA merged in 1999 with the Hall of Fame created by singer/producer Gary Buck. This amalgamation created the current CCMA Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame and was a huge step in the right direction for country music in Canada.

Induction into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame recognizes long-term contributions to the growth and development of Canadian country music. The recipient may be living or deceased, an Artist, Builder or Broadcaster, but must be recognized for his/her achievements as a Canadian. Members of the CCMA are invited to nominate an individual or group in the categories of Artist, Builder, and Broadcaster.

Jon Allen Cameron

John Allan Cameron was known as the Godfather of Celtic music in Canada, a mantle he wore with easy grace. He brought Celtic music to the masses, and blazed a trail of success for other East Coast artists to follow.
