New Artist
Showcase

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9
9:30pm - 11:30pm
Hall D of Shaw Conference Centre

Don't you just love saying, "I saw them when...?" So do we and we're giving you the opportunity to say it about some of Canada's soon-to-be country stars at the 2010 New Artist Showcase. Each year the CCMA receives over 100 submissions for this one performance opportunity, from which only 8 artists will be selected by our national juries of industry professionals. Showcasing artists from the past have gone on to become huge, international stars... be one of the first to say you saw them when...! This event is open to delegates and public and helps our fresh-faced country artists make the connections necessary to help launch their careers. This is a ticketed event, open to industry and community.

Lindsay Broughton
Lindsay Broughton is a 20 year-old singer/songwriter from Brooklin, Ontario whose musical influences are rooted in country and rock. Her reputation as a prolific and hard-working musician is ever-growing, affording her the opportunity to co-write with established artists such as Dan Hill, Holly McNarland, Eddie Schwartz, Dean McTaggart, Joel Feeney and many others. Having recently inked a development deal with Canadian Indie label Curve Music, a debut album is in the works. www.lindsaybroughton.com
