Judging Criteria
The Canadian Country Music Association® is accepting submissions for On-Air Personality(s) and Station of the Year in both Major and Secondary Market. The eligibility period for the 2012 Canadian Country Music Association Awards® is from March 1, 2011 to April 30, 2012 and only submission elements (listed below) from this period will be accepted. All submissions will be presented through an online process and will be judged by a panel of music industry professionals within Canada which will determine the winners based on the strength of each submission received. Online presentations must be submitted to the CCMA no later than Thursday, June 28, 2012. Submissions received after this date will not be accepted. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
The winner in each category will be announced during PotashCorp Country Music Week® 2012 to be held in Saskatoon, SK, September 6 - 9, 2012.
For the Broadcast Awards, the Rules & Regulations state a Major Market is defined as a city with a population over 150,000. According to Statistics Canada 2011 census figures, cities with a population over 150,000 (in order of population) are: Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Ottawa, Edmonton, Mississauga, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Hamilton, Quebec City, Brampton, Surrey, Halifax, Laval, London, Markham, Gatineau, Vaughan, Longueuil, Windsor, Kitchener, Burnaby, Saskatoon, Regina, Richmond, Oakville, Burlington, Richmond Hill, Greater Sudbury.
