(JUNE 20, 2005) - The Canadian Country Music Association has announced that internationally acclaimed singer, songwriter and performer Paul Brandt will once again host the CCMA Awards this September. The 2005 CCMA Awards will be held at Calgary's Pengrowth Saddledome Monday September 12. CBC Television will broadcast the CCMA Awards September 12 at 8 p.m. / 9 p.m. AT / 9:30 NT. Encore broadcasts are scheduled on CMT in Canada.

2005 also marks the Centennial year for Alberta and what better way to celebrate 100 years of achievement than with country's most awarded Male Artist and one of Canada's most recognizable stars - that province's own Paul Brandt. Brandt takes on the hosting role for the 6th time, following up on last year's sold out show. He has been awarded a Gemini for his hosting role, and was recently chosen by the CMA (U.S. Country Music Association) over more than a dozen candidates, to receive their international "Global Country Artist Award" for 2005.

"This year is an incredibly special year to be hosting the Canadian Country Music Awards" said Brandt. "It's Alberta's Centennial year. This is a homecoming; it's a birthday bash; and being in the heart of cowboy country, it's going to be a big 'ol hoedown. Hang on to your hats, the 2005 CCMA Awards will be a party to remember."

The 2005 CCMA Awards, will take place at Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary with Big Green Hat Production's Producer Aidan Cosgrave, with Co-Producer Anne Hunter, and Director Shelagh O'Brien bringing this year's show to life at Pengrowth Saddledome for viewers at home.
